What to expect from coaching

It's a whole-life connection approach for deep, sustainable transformation.
Coaching is a conversation—with a purpose
Each session is a powerful space where we slow things down, listen deeply, and notice what’s really going on beneath the surface. Unlike therapy, coaching doesn’t dwell in the past. And unlike advice-giving, it doesn’t tell you what to do.
Instead, I hold space for your wisdom to rise.
You’ll find yourself thinking differently. Feeling differently. Acting differently—because something inside has shifted. From the inside-out, not the outside-in.
Above and Below the surface, with one not always equalling the other.

What happens in a session?
A typical session 30 minute session begins with a simple question:
“What would be most valuable for us to explore today?”
From there, we gently follow the thread of what’s truly important—not just what’s urgent or noisy in your mind. You may bring:
A decision you’re struggling with
A repeated pattern in relationships
A feeling of stuckness or frustration
An area of life that feels out of alignment
Or something you can’t quite put into words—but know (or not) that it needs attention
Through skillful, often unexpected questions and reflections, we’ll get to the root of what’s going on. You’ll leave with new insight, clarity, and often—relief.
Many clients say it feels like having:
"“A conversation they’ve never had before, but always needed.”"
Common client experiences
You might recognise yourself in some of these:
You say yes when you mean no, or feel pulled in too many directions
You feel torn between what others expect and what you want
You crave deeper connection but don’t know how to express your needs
You’ve outgrown a version of yourself—but don’t know what’s next
You’re doing “all the right things” but feel flat, resentful, or unfulfilled
You feel pressure to “fix” or “improve” yourself but long to just feel enough
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Coaching helps you come back into alignment—so your choices, actions and relationships reflect who you truly are.
What coaching isn’t
To be clear, coaching is not:
Therapy or trauma healing (though we’ll acknowledge where wounds may show up)
Mentoring or advice-giving
Goal-setting for its own sake
A quick fix or surface-level “positivity”
Instead, coaching meets you where you are and walks beside you—bringing curiosity, honesty, and care.
My coaching style
I draw from:
Marion Franklin’s Laser-Focused Coaching approach (I'm a student of her work)
ICF Core Competencies and ethics
Mind-body awareness, deep listening, and pattern recognition
Influences such as Byron Katie’s The Work, Jungian psychology, Peter Crone’s freedom philosophy, and modern neuroscience
You won’t get fluff. You won’t be rescued. But you will be heard. Deeply. You’ll leave each session more connected to your own inner authority—and better able to make aligned, meaningful choices.
What will I walk away with?
Clients often walk away with:
A new perspective on an old story or challenge
Awareness of what's been keeping them stuck (and how to shift it)
Clarity on what they actually want—not what they think they “should” want
A deep sense of being seen, heard, and empowered
Some describe it as:
"Like someone turned the lights on in a room I’ve been living in for years."
Final thoughts
Coaching is a partnership—not a prescription. It’s sacred, practical, transformative work. You’ll begin to trust your own reflection again. And you’ll be surprised how much more is available to you—once you’re no longer battling yourself.
If you’re ready to explore the deeper “why” behind what’s not working—and uncover what’s possible—then coaching may be your next step.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone.Let’s walk this path together.
